I built this when I started learning Chinese because I wanted a more efficient way to study radicals. Having found it useful, I figured I might as well share it.

If you're new to the language, radicals are recurring parts of Chinese characters, and learning the most common ones makes new characters much easier to recognize and remember. Many began as simple pictures: 山 is a mountain, 木 is a tree. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.


Radical Study

All 214 Kāngxī radicals are here, plus a core set of 91 that are common everyday words in their own right and an extended set of 136 that are most frequently used in the language. To help you learn, there are meanings, pinyin, stroke order, search, flashcards, and a quiz section.
